About Us

Come, fish with us!  We are looking for children who want to be part of a  tournament fishing organization. We have anglers of all levels of experience.  We offer year-round youth fishing for individuals, age 8-18. We host tournaments ten months of the year.  The winner of each monthly event is based on the weight of bass caught.  We have both boaters and non-boaters that compete.  We are always looking for volunteer captains with boats, as well as volunteers to help with tournaments and add to the success of our program.  If you are interested in joining our club or have further questions about our organization, please click here.

Gone Bassin is a non-profit, bass fishing club in Florida; open to kids 8-18. Our mission is to provide fishing education to children by teaching fish management, waterway conservation, and basic fishing techniques. Our program also adds purpose to their education by giving them real-life examples how STEM education items are used by anglers out on the water every day.

staff and volunteers are always needed and appreciated

It takes a village to make this dream a reality.  Without the help and support of our parents, captains, and volunteers, we would not be able to make this happen.  We truly appreciate your support.  If you are interested in volunteering, please click here.  Thank you!

2018 Season Sponsored by Trapper Tackle

Rat-l-trap and Trapper Tackle put Trapper Treble hooks on the standard rat-l-trap lure.

Trapper Tackle teamed up with Bill Lewis Outdoors to create one of the best lipless crankbaits: The Rat-L-Trapper!

The Bill Lewis Original Rat-L-Trap has stood the test of time, catching multi-species of fish and winning tournaments since the late 1960's. Shallow cranking over grass beds, burned through suspended schools of bass, or cast deep and banged through rocks or other heavy cover on the retrieve, this lure covers a multitude of techniques. So how do you improve such a phenomenal lure? By adding our patented, ICAST 2017 Best In Show, Trapper Tackle X-Heavy Round Bend Treble hooks!  Trapper Tackle downsized to super tough, black nickel #1 split rings and upsized to #4 Trapper Tackle X-Heavy Round Bend Treble hooks. The final touch is an oval #3 line tie to keep your main line from getting caught in the split of a round ring and breaking off, and to keep your lure running true.  These are the same upgrades professional tournament anglers apply to all their lures and Trapper Tackle is proud to offer you this elite series Rat-L-Trap that is ready to be fished, no upgrades required
